Hong Kong Chee Cheong Fun in SS15

All of us were hungry and decided to stop by this restaurant which is located at ss15 Subang Jaya for our lunch.

The restaurant located at the corner of the road.

Sing Yee as a "professional" waitress helped us to take our orders  efficiently. She was so busy running here and there to help us order our food. She has the potential to become a waitress, right? Haha.

This is the Chee Cheong Fun we ordered. It is actually a thin sheet of rice noodle that is wrapped with ingredients such as prawns, chickens or char siew. The chee cheong fun is steamed and then served with fried onion and soy sauce as flavoring. The skin was smooth, not too oily and tasted sweet because of the taste of prawn or chicken wrapped inside.

To those who have big appetite , this is the image of a bigger serving of Chee Cheong Fun.The price of the large plate is RM 5.50 while the small plate is RM 4.50.

The overview of the Hong Kong Chee Cheong Fun which was served by our waitress,Sing Yee. Hehe , doesn't it looks delicious? Suddenly have the urge to eat it again, uh-oh. *drools* HAHAHA!

This stall is actually owned by Sing Yee's aunt who has experience of 10 years in this business. The restaurant has has great atmosphere ,just like your typical Chinese restaurant and comfortable sitting arrangement which is quite spacious inside.

All of us ate till we were full and decided to go back to college.
BUT...................

A jack?

Another larger one under the car?
Things are getting weirder...

A car mechanic?

Unfortunately, Miko's car tires deflated! Apparently the car tires rolled through a nail.We had to wait under the hot sun while car-mechanic changed the tire. After a long excruciating 40 minutes of waiting, and sweating non-stop, finally the car is back on the road.It was an interesting experience, both eating the Hong Kong Chee Cheong Fun and the deflated tire incident.

Kajang Satay in Taipan

We're having satays for supper! Since Kajang are famous of satays,so we decided to have Kajang satays for our supper!
Of course we didn't go all the way to Kajang just to eat their satay.Since Taipan is nearby our house and there are a satay shop specialized in making Kajang satay,so we decided to go there.

This is their menu featuring their Kajang Satays and others dishes.

The left side which has more yellowish colour is chicken satays while the one on the right side which have dark brown colour is beef satays. Satay or sate is a dish of marinated, skewered and grilled meat. Satay may consist of diced or sliced chicken, goat, mutton, beef, pork, fish, other meats, or tofu and prepared using bamboo skewers by grilling or barbecue them over a wood or charcoal fire. It is served with the peanut satay sauce which is an all time favorite dipping sauce. The sauce itself is savory, spicy and slightly sweet and goes extremely well with the satays.

Have a look at Miko's and Cynthia's pitiful faces. They were bored and sleepy while waiting for the satay to arrive while Sing Yee was chatting animately with us.See Kee secretly took this picture without the three of them noticing.

A GROUP PICTURE!  "EEEEEEEEEEEE~"

Cynthia should show her teeth! Hahaha! We had no idea why the waiter keep looking at our table and directed a smile while he was whispering with his partner. Maybe it was because we were making a lot of noises or they were laughing at some of our crazy behaviors? However ,we actually did some genuine crazy things back then in the shop.

Happy time sure flies fast.
We didn't have chance to capture a photo of the shop until we realised it was already approaching night time.If you're interested in this satay shop. You can always go to Taipan and this shop is located opposite the car parking lot and is also nearby 100 yen. It's also in the same row as the Station One cafe.

Roti Tisu in Taipan Restaurant Kayu

It was around 6.30 p.m that we decided to go Taipan to have our dinner.

This is the signature Roti Tisu which is also known as Tisu Prata.
Roti tisu is one of the famous Indian food that are loved by most of the Malaysians.
Roti tisu is made from flour, water, eggs, sugar, and butter. The mixture is kneaded, flattened, oiled before being folded repeatedly and it is cooked on a flat iron skillet with a layer of oil on the surface.
This roti is light, thin, super crispy, and is coated with generous amount of margarine, honey, condensed milk, and some sprinkle of sugar to make it taste more delicious and it really is delicious! YUM!

Unfortunately, this roti tower being as thin as a piece of tissue paper was also too fragile. It naturally collapse and cracked into piece and bits as soon as you start eating it.The waiter will lay the roti down so that it'll be easier for their customer to taste this special roti tisu. Somehow,it seems this picture looks kind of weird.

This position of roti tisu looks similar to an elephant trunk , don't you think so?  Miko was having fun holding the "Elephant trunk",aren't you, Miko? Haha. We took some of  this roti tisu's photos while waiting for our food to arrive. Meanwhile,we were giggling all way long. HAHA !
This roti tissue is actually considered special because it's extremely long. For a normal roti tissue, it's actually two times smaller than this. Maybe that is why we were surprisedand the other customers were trying to cover their laugh when they saw this scene.

As you can see ,we ordered their Ais Batu Campur (short for ABC) too! We feel the sudden craving to taste something really really cold. ABC are also called Ais Kacang. It is actually a all-time favourite dessert which is commonly found in any mamak shops. This dessert is the best choice to quench thirst in a hot weather. Plus, the price of it is also affordable for everyone.
The ice kacang have these following ingredients: Shaved ice ,red beans, sweet corn , black jelly cubes, cendol (looks like green gummy worms which is made out of coconut)
The next step is to pour the evaporated milk and red rose syrup over the top and the ABC is done.

We also ordered maggi goreng for our dinner. This maggi goreng will taste more delicious if you add some of the  'limau kasturi' into the maggi because it actually enchante the flavoring, thus making it taste even more delicious. You can have try it if you don't believe me.

Cynthia is still looking weirdly at the special roti tisu while eating because it is her first time seeing such a long "roti tisu". They don't have such long and huge roti tisu in Sabah right, Cynthia? HAHAHA! Actually, she can't stop taking picture of this roti tisu too.

Even though this mamak shop has no air conditioner, it still feels cool and comfortable because it is almost approaching night time .Most of the Malaysians love to hang out in mamak shop during the night time. It feels very relaxing to chat with friends or family in this kind of environment.

See Kee and Pui Ni are actually discussing about ideas for our blog. Our beloved Cynthia actually took a photo of them. Yeah, and don't See Kee looks a bit scary with her faceless head? Haha!

We ate and ate like a hungry ghost because we were REALLY hungry.

This guy, Julian came in a bit late and so he only got to eat some of the roti tisu that we left for him.He was too shy to pose for a photo as his hand covered half of his face.

Can you see him?

YES, this is a baby crocodile and double yes, it's real one. They even rare a baby crocodile in the shop. Bet you had a shock. We were shocked too. Since the city people don't really have a chance to go to the zoo to see a crocodile, we actually stood there ,watched and observed it with lots of "oohs" and "ahhs". Isn't it cute?

This is the mamak restaurant that we had our dinner. The name of it is RESTORAN KAYU where is located in Taipan USJ 10. This shop is near to the Hong Leong Bank and the Big Bookshop. Feels free to drop by to taste their special roti tisu and have a great time! Of course, there are still other foods that are delicious for you to taste such as their nasi kandar. Thank you!
